Two months after the censorship and attacks on journalists from independent media today the story is repeated: parapolice groups assault and beat journalistic teams of Channel 12 and 100% news.

A group of hooded men on motorcycles set fire to the artistic production company Blü and Radio Activa, located in the same building.

Parapolice groups armed with shotguns and AK 47 dismantle the road blockage in the municipality of Ticuantepe, several injured and detainees are reported.

Cardinal Leopoldo Brenes, Archbishop of Managua and president of the Episcopal Conference of Nicaragua (CEN), calls on the government and the National Police to give the order not to continue attacking the population of Masaya.

Juan Sebastian Chamorro, director of Funides and member of the Civic Alliance for Justice and Democracy, says that the tables were suspended because there was no government willingness to invite international organizations. These will resume once they present the invitation letters.

Paul Oquist, Private Secretary of the President for Public Policies, assures that the Government of Nicaragua is willing to achieve peace conditions, «we need to get out of this spiral of violence on both sides and the way to do it is through dialogue.»
