1. We repudiate the siege and intimidation by the National Police of Nicaragua as a strategy to demobilize the caravan that was headed towards Granada in support of the march «Here is Granada», organized by the April 19th Movement of Granada.
2. Committed to the struggle for the freedom of all political prisoners, we demand the release of the 21 young people who are detained at the National Police station in the municipality of Jinotepe, Carazo, including members of the University Coordinator for Justice and Democracy and a member of the Civic Alliance for Justice and Democracy.
3. Our Alliance is coordinating actions in conjunction with international human rights organizations to demand the immediate release of the students and all the people arbitrarily detained in the context of civic and peaceful demonstrations attended by citizens exercising their constitutional right to protest.
