The General Assembly of the OAS begins, the situation in Nicaragua and Venezuela occupies the discussion. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out «what is happening in this Central American country is a purely internal matter, we warn against the destructive attempts to interfere [in the situation] from abroad».

Mike Pence, Vice-President of the United States, during his speech at the OAS General Assembly, said that the United States and its allies should unite in a single voice to tell the government of Daniel Ortega to stop the violence.
